This blog has grown from the request of my students to elaborate my course in general psychology with more examples. The handbook I have written and that I use in the course already contains lots of examples and applications. You can read some chapters [in Dutch] with Google Books.  A website however gives the opportunity to interact with the reader.

This website also focusses on visual illusions and other strange psychological phenomena. Unusual behaviour like illusions fascinate most people. The study of these phenomena, however, are also important for science. Indeed, a system that is not working properly tells us more than a machine that is working flawlessly. Therefore, you will find  many illusions and other unusual psychological phenomena on this website; together with solid scientific explanation.
